Psychiatrist
MindCare Solutions, a clinician-owned and operated leader in comprehensive mental health services, is seeking a psychiatrist to provide psychiatric consults, follow-up care, and medication management within the facility. This position will focus on direct clinical care, supporting the overall mental health program by collaborating with the treatment team and ensuring high-quality psychiatric services for inmates/residents.
Compensation: up to $205 per hour (dependent on contract/employment type)
Location: Richmond, TX
Schedule: 40 hours per week, dayshift
Position Summary:
- Provide direct psychiatric care to assigned patients.
- Perform psychiatric evaluations: admission, assessments, diagnoses, treatment planning, and discharge.
- Manage psychotropic medication prescribing, monitoring, and adjustments.
- Participate in civil commitment, legal, or due process proceedings when applicable.
- Contribute to quality improvement / quality management (QI/QM) programs.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, departmental policies, state licensing, and maintaining required registrations.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Eligible (within 1 year of residency completion) in Psychiatry
- Psychiatrist - Corrections is required to have an active and unrestricted license in the state of TX
- Maintains an active Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification
- Have excellent skills in diagnostic assessment and counseling
- This position requires sound clinical judgment, professionalism, and independence
- Valid Driver''s License is required
- Psychiatrist with active TX DEA required
