Job Description

Our client, a leading healthcare provider dedicated to innovative behavioral health solutions, is hiring a Psychiatrist - Intensive Crisis Residence (ICR) - Part-Time. This position offers a unique opportunity for a BC/BE psychiatrist to contribute to a progressive model of care aimed at providing alternatives to hospitalization for individuals in psychiatric crisis. With a focus on multidisciplinary collaboration, the psychiatrist will be instrumental in delivering direct patient care, establishing clinical protocols, and refining treatment programs within a newly developed Intensive Crisis Residence in Westchester County, NY. This role is ideal for professionals committed to impactful mental health services and program development in a dynamic clinical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct psychiatric care to patients within the crisis residence setting.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and ongoing refinement of clinical policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to coordinate patient treatment plans.
  • Participate in program development initiatives to enhance patient stabilization and safe discharge planning.
  • Contribute to the assessment and refinement of structured clinical programming designed to meet patients’ needs effectively.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
  • Active New York Medical License.
  • Proven experience in psychiatric care, preferably with crisis or inpatient populations.
  • Exceptional communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
  • Prior experience in program development and clinical protocol refinement is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Willingness to work part-time, day shifts, Monday through Friday, with flexibility around working hours.
  • Additional certifications or training related to crisis intervention or emergency psychiatry are a plus.
  • Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to patient-centered care and mental health advocacy.
