What Youll Do
- Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and psychotherapy for a diverse outpatient caseload across the lifespan.
- Treat patients presenting with depression, anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, and dual-diagnosis conditions. Average daily caseload: 20 patients.
- Lead weekly treatment team meetings with NPs, therapists, and case managers to ensure coordinated, measurement-based care.
- Chart in a cloud-based EHR (Practice Fusion) with AI-powered scribe support (MD Hub) to reduce documentation time.
- Champion quality improvement projects and collaborate with NPs.
- Optional leadership tracks to develop specialty programs (e.g., addiction, child & adolescent, TMS, geriatric).
Must Haves
- MD/DO with completed ACGME psychiatry residency
- Board certified (or board eligible within 12 months) in Psychiatry
- Unrestricted Alabama medical license (or ability to obtain) + active DEA
- Commitment to evidence based, patient centered care and collaborative practice
