Psychiatrist - Psych Adult

Summary:

• Location: Kingsboro Psychiatric Center, Brooklyn, NY
• Work Mode: Onsite
• Duration: 40-hour weekly assignment with significant evening/night coverage

Responsibilities:

• Provide inpatient psychiatric care and medication management
• Respond to psychiatric and medical emergencies
• Lead medical codes and manage behavioral crises and acute psychiatric issues
• Round on patients requiring elevated observation (1:1 or Q15)
• Complete incident reports and restraint/seclusion documentation
• Coordinate transfers to outside emergency departments when needed
• Provide urgent medical and psychiatric coverage during assigned shifts

Requirements:

• Active, unrestricted New York medical license
• Board Certified in Psychiatry (ABPN)
• Minimum 3 years post-residency experience
• Enrolled and eligible for Medicare and NY Medicaid
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Maintain malpractice insurance
• Complete site orientation and TRUST training
