PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Psychiatrist is responsible for the delivery of patient care services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of care to individual patients. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Education - Board Certified/Board Eligible M.D.; D.O. ACCOUNTABILITY: Accountable to the Chief Medical Officer and ultimately the Chief Executive Officer. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: A position exempt from wage and hour laws; requires hours in excess of 40 per week including night and holiday work from time to time. Work is performed in health care environments including, medical office, hospital and nursing home with exposure to communicable diseases. Position may include possible exposure to aggressive or violent patients, and requires the ability to work under stressful conditions, often for long periods of time.
