This position is located at Waccamaw Center for Mental Health (WCMH) in the following areas (Horry, Georgetown and Williamsburg Counties). Telepsychiatry options are available.
Under limited supervision, provides for the Medical/Psychiatric care of assigned clients at the Waccamaw Center for Mental Health Conway Clinic. The position requires full coverage for adults, adolescents and child patients on emergency and/or back up basis. The expectation is that you will be available to provide psychiatric services to all individuals who are patients of WCMH on a full-time basis (37.5 hrs./week) and maintain an average bill time direct service hour of 840 annualized hours.

Preferred Qualifications
Board Certification in adult, child and adolescent psychiatry.
Extensive knowledge of the latest treatment modalities and techniques in General Psychiatry. Must be able to document significant continuing medical educational activities. Individual must have the ability and skills to work with a wide variety of patients and staff of various backgrounds and ethnicities. Must be comfortable with consulting with outside agencies and representing WCMH and South Carolina Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities/Office of Mental Health to others at times when needed. Individual must be fully licensed to practice medicine in SC and be able to prescribe controlled substances.
Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
