Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist - CASTLE & Outpatient

Full-time, 40 hours per week. This position combines 14 hours per week with CFG's CASTLE Program, scheduled over four days per week, with the remaining 26 hours dedicated to outpatient psychiatric services. The schedule includes designated travel and administrative time between CASTLE and the outpatient practice location, which is considered part of the regular 40-hour workweek. Any changes to the established schedule, including hours, days of service, or onsite and virtual arrangements, will be made by mutual agreement between the psychiatrist and CFG.

The C.A.S.T.L.E. (Children and Adolescents Seeking Treatment and Life Empowerment) program, part of CFG Health Network, provides comprehensive behavioral health services to children and adolescents experiencing a variety of mental health challenges. Our goal is to empower young people and their families through compassionate, evidence-based treatment delivered in a supportive, collaborative environment.

The Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist will divide their time between CASTLE and CFG's outpatient psychiatry program, providing continuity of care across two distinct practice settings. The psychiatrist will join a multidisciplinary team of professionals committed to improving access to high-quality behavioral health care for children, adolescents, and families throughout the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments for children and adolescents.
• Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
• Provide medication management, including prescribing, monitoring, and adjusting medications as appropriate.
• Provide psychiatric services within both the CASTLE and outpatient settings.
• Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, social workers, nurses, and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as clinically indicated.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning and case consultation.
• Contribute to quality improvement, clinical education, and continued program development.

Qualifications

MD or DO with appropriate training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry; Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry; and an active or eligible New Jersey medical license. Candidates should possess strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, excellent communication skills, and an interest in collaborative, team-based care.

I would also remove the current sentence saying the physician will "manage our program in the Berlin and Camden locations" unless this person is actually being hired as a program leader. Based on the revised agreement language, the role sounds much more like a combined clinical CASTLE/outpatient position than a leadership position.
