What You Will Do:

Ascension Seton is looking for a Board Certified/Eligible Psychiatrist Fellowship trained Consult Liaison for Ascension Seton Medical Center and Dell Seton Medical Center.

 

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Seton to provide medical services to patients. Consults are done done at both hospitals with the Primary facility being Seton Medical Center Austin ans secondary facility being Dell Seton Medical Center. Weekend call coverage will be at our inpatient facility Cross Creek Hospital.

 

Position Highlights:

 

  • Well established program consisting of 17 full time physicians including Consult Liaison and Psychiatry ED Physicians.  
  • New grads welcome to apply
  • Weekend call round and go model Saturday to Sunday. Flat rate shared among the group. 
  • No RVU or productivity compensation. This is a salaried position. 
  • Average patient encounters 1.6 per hour.
  • W2 emplolyee model with excellent benefits package including, 403B, health, dental, vision, long term and short term disability as well as many other employee benefits. 

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical services to patients in an assigned area.
  • Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Coordinate discharge planning with case management.
  • Recommend, participate in, and work to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
  • Accept patient referrals from other physicians. Act as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital.
  • Participate in academic programs (eg medical education and research) as requested.
  • Provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.
What You Will Need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Licensed Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
