Join our team as a Psychiatry Specialist and make a meaningful impact on patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. We are seeking a highly qualified psychiatrist to lead the development and management of a new acute adult unit, supporting a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing exceptional psychiatric services. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, leadership qualities, and experience with psychiatric diagnoses (non-dual diagnosis). As a key member of the team, you will oversee daily treatment meetings, coordinate patient care, and contribute to the successful operation of the unit, initially supporting an adult inpatient facility with an average length of stay of 10 days. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with a half-hour lunch. The ADC for this unit begins at 12:00 PM.
Required Skills:
- Valid medical license and board certification in Psychiatry
- Proven experience managing acute adult psychiatric units
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses (non-dual diagnosis preferred)
- Strong organizational and decision-making abilities
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in hospital or inpatient settings
- Familiarity with treatment planning and patient advocacy
- Certification in relevant psychiatric therapies or specialties
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree with active medical license
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in acute psychiatric care
- Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred

- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development
- No travel required
This position offers an hourly pay rate of $1.00, with comprehensive benefits including weekly pay via direct deposit, medical coverage (W-2), paid sick time, and reimbursement for licensure, certification, travel, and other expenses when applicable.
