Psychiatry - Per Diem Inpatient Nurse Practitioner - Syracuse, NY

St. Joseph’s Health is seeking a per diem Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners to work in our inpatient behavioral health unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse, NY. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive 30-bed unit alongside experienced Providers, clinical, and support staff, to care for and provide treatment to adults with a wide range of psychiatric diagnoses.

Position Details:

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, social workers, nursing staff, and peer specialists
• Manage inpatient care within a structured, team-based environment focused on high-quality outcomes

Qualifications:

• Active New York State Nurse Practitioner license
• DEA certification required
• Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
• Strong clinical, diagnostic, and communication skills

Compensation

• $75.00 per hour plus a differential for evening and weekend hours
• The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits offered by their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above.
