What You’ll Do
  • Conduct psychological screenings and assessments based on available records and clinical interviews with inmates.
  • Develop, implement, and modify individual treatment plans tailored to inmate needs.
  • Perform regular rounds in housing units, including segregation, to assess mental health and inmate adjustment.
  • Provide mental health assessments, counseling, and crisis interventions for inmates in need.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, medical staff, social workers, security, and other team members to coordinate care and address escalation of behaviors.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all assessments, treatments, and interventions.
  • Ensure compliance with correctional facility policies and mental health standards.
What You Need
Required:
  • Licensed Psychologist (board eligible) with pending or completed licensure verification
  • US Citizenship (for ICE clearance)
  • BLS certification (or pending)
  • Minimum of 1+ year of relevant mental health experience, especially in correctional or high-security settings preferred
  • Strong assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention skills

Preferred:
  • Prior correctional mental health experience
  • Experience working with diverse inmate populations
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, secure environment
