This position qualifies for a sign-on bonus! You have the choice of $5,000.00 with a 2-year work commitment or $7,500.00 with a 3-year work commitment!
What You'll Do:
As a psychologist with UPMC, you'll have the opportunity to help grow and advance clinical psychology within our system. You'll provide both in-person and telemedicine care, working with interdisciplinary teams to expand services and improve patient outcomes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting intake diagnostic interviews and psychological assessments using valid psychometric instruments.
- Delivering treatment for a variety of neurodevelopmental, behavioral, and mental health concerns.
- Providing crisis (Critical Incident Stress Management - CISM sessions to support patients, staff and/or community members who have experienced an acute, stressful incident.
- Collaborating with care teams to plan behavioral health treatment across levels of care.
- Consulting with multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with outside agencies to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in compliance with insurance and payer requirements.
- Participating in special assessments and/or quality improvement initiatives, if interested.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply evidence-based practices in treatment, with ideal candidates bringing additional competency-based training in an empirically supported treatment or evidence-based psychotherapy.
- Deliver evidence-based behavioral health services across acute, maintenance, and crisis care models.
- Deliver timely crisis assessment, planning, and intervention.
- Stay informed on emerging research and best practices related to an out-patient population.
- Actively engage in ongoing clinical supervision with on-site supervisor.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, UPMC service lines, and external agencies to ensure treatment planning and continuity of care.
- Support UPMC's training mission.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and complete clinical documentation and data collection.
- Maintain a patient schedule that meets departmental productivity standards.
Requirements:
- Must have a Masters or Doctorate in Psychology and be licensed to practice in Pennsylvania.
- Must be eligible for Act 33/34 clearances.
- Must be credentialed with all local MCOs.
- A minimum of two years post-licensure experience providing supervision and psychological testing to patients will be given priority consideration.
- Supervision and Psychological Testing experience preferred
- Must demonstrate creativity, maturity, and good clinical judgment
- Must have a Ph.D. or Psy.D. Licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
