    Morehouse School of Medicine's Student Health and Wellness department is seeking a Psychologist who specializes in psychological testing. The Psychologist will be responsible for conducting assessments to evaluate and diagnose a range of psychological conditions within the student population at the AUCC Student Health and Wellness Center. The individual in this role will provide psychological testing, evaluation, and consultation services to support the mental health and academic success of students across the AUCC member institutions: Clark Atlanta University, Morehouse College, Morehouse School of Medicine, and Spelman College. This position also involves collaboration with the Behavioral Health Department of each AUCC member institution to promote overall student well-being.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Education:

    • Doctoral degree in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited program.

    Licensure:

    • Licensed psychologist in the state of Georgia (or eligibility to obtain licensure).

    Experience:

    • At least two years of experience conducting psychological assessments, including ADHD evaluations, learning disabilities assessments, and other mental health-related testing.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience:

    • Experience working in a university, counseling center, or student health setting is preferred.

    Job Duties

    Description of Job Duty

    Key Responsibilities:

    Psychological Assessments & Testing:

    • Administer, score, and interpret psychological assessments related to academic, behavioral, emotional, and developmental issues, including but not limited to ADHD, dyslexia, learning disabilities, and other mental health concerns.
    • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and provide diagnostic impressions based on testing results.
    • Prepare thorough, clear, and accurate written reports detailing findings and recommendations for interventions, accommodations, or services.

    Consultation & Collaboration:

    • Work closely with other health professionals, including counselors, medical providers, and academic staff, to ensure comprehensive support for students.
    • Provide consultations to faculty, staff, and administration regarding student needs related to psychological assessment and accommodations.
    • Advise on appropriate interventions, referrals, and strategies to support students in academic and personal development.

    Documentation & Compliance:

    • Maintain up-to-date, accurate, and confidential records in compliance with ethical guidelines, institutional policies, and legal requirements (e.g., HIPAA, FERPA).
    • Ensure timely and professional follow-up on all evaluations and consults, including ensuring that students receive appropriate care and follow-up services as necessary.

    Program Development & Outreach:

    • Contribute to the development of mental health programs that promote wellness, stress management, and academic success.
    • Participate in outreach efforts to raise awareness about available psychological services, testing options, and mental health resources for students.

    Supervision & Training:

    • Provide supervision and mentorship to interns, practicum students, or other mental health professionals as needed.
    • Stay informed about best practices, new developments in the field of psychological testing, and current research to continuously enhance the services offered.

    Immunization Requirements

    It is MSM's Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are encouraged to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain an exemption from MSM will result in rescission of a candidate's offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
