What Youll Do
- Conduct psychological screenings and assessments using record reviews and clinical interviews.
- Provide mental health treatment by developing, implementing, and modifying individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate as part of a mental health team (e.g., psychiatrists, clinicians, physicians, nurses, social workers) to ensure integrated care and follow-through.
- Perform regular rounds in segregation or other confined housing areas to assess adjustment and treatment needs.
- Deliver psychological counseling interventions, including strategies suitable for individuals in caseload and those in crisis.
- Provide appropriate crisis assessments and counseling and interventions focused on de-escalation and confrontation avoidance.
- Consult with relevant facility staff (e.g., psychiatry, nursing, medical, educational, chaplaincy, and security) to understand factors driving mental health changes and behavior escalation.
