What Youll Do:
- Conduct psychological screenings and assessments based on review of records and clinical interviews with inmates
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and security staff, to coordinate inmate care
- Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans
- Perform regular rounds in confinement areas to assess inmate mental health and adjustment
- Provide mental health counseling and crisis intervention for inmates in need
- Gather and share information regarding patient psychological status to ensure coordinated treatment efforts
- Address mental health needs, including crisis situations, with appropriate interventions
What You Need:
- Current license or proof of board eligibility in psychology
- Relevant experience in mental health or correctional settings preferred
- Strong assessment, counseling, and collaboration skills
- Ability to perform duties at a consistent pace in a correctional environment
