Posting Summary The Department of Psychology at Rutgers University invites qualified applicants to serve as Summer Session Instructors for Psychology course offerings. Instructors will teach one or more full undergraduate courses during the Summer Session, which consists of two sessions scheduled between late May and mid-August.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and submitting course syllabi
  • Delivering high-quality instruction
  • Assessing student work in a timely manner
  • Holding weekly office hours
  • Responding to student emails
  • Submitting final course grades to the registrar
  • Adhering to all university policies, grade submission procedures, and deadlines

This position reports to the Department Undergraduate Director.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education and Experience: Candidates must hold a masters degree in Psychology or a closely related field; a PhD is strongly preferred.
  • Prior Experience: Experience teaching large classes at the college level is desirable.
