GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The adjunct instructor will teach the current North Carolina Board of Nursing (NCBON) Medication Aide curriculum in the classroom, which includes skills lab and lecture. In addition, instructors will evaluate student progress, notify program coordinator of any issues or concerns, monitor supply levels, and adhere to all policies and procedures as dictated by the NCBON. The successful candidate will be certified by the NCBON as a Medication Aide Instructor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina or have multi-state licensure privilege
• At least two (2) years of practice experience as a Registered Nurse that includes medication administration
• Successful completion of a 16-hour instructor training program approved by the Board and provided by a Medication Aide Master Teacher

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience teaching adult learners
