Legal Entity Aultman Hospital Position Summary The PT Aide prepares patient treatment areas, patient equipment and patients for treatment. The Aide performs all tasks delegated by the therapist under their direct supervision, reporting changes in condition and reaction to treatment to the therapist. The PT Aide cleans equipment and patient treatment areas as necessary and assist in the transportation or clerical functions where possible. The Aide completes patient treatment for maintenance plans as deemed competent by education and testing. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Some courses in anatomy, physiology and/or physics, preferred. Obtain and maintain current American Heart Association (AHA) training in Basic Life Support (BLS) utilizing Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) is required. Skills Basic computer skills. Assists with compliance of facility operations with federal, state and local rules and regulations. Consistently communicates with all patients, families, customers and other personnel in a professional, respectful and courteous manner. Demonstrates flexibility in meeting the needs of the department and responds positively to changes in workflow. Promotes teamwork by demonstrating willingness to assist others in meeting the needs of all individuals and collaborating effectively with the interdisciplinary team and other departments throughout the organization. Lunch and break periods must be coordinated with other staff members to ensure patient receive appropriate interventions.
