    Description

    This part-time Assistant Coach position will support the Head Coach with the oversight of the Woman's Volleyball program. The part-time Assistant Coach will support the daily management of the volleyball program with specific duties of providing physical training and skill development of the student athletes.

    Position Duties

    • Under the supervision of the head volleyball coach, identify, target, communicate, and respond to prospective student athletes that may be interested in attending Pace University.
    • Instructs players individually or in groups demonstrating techniques specific to volleyball positions. Analyzes performance and instructs players in game strategies and techniques to prepare them for athletic competition.
    • Understanding and having a working knowledge of and abiding by applicable policies and regulations of Pace University, the NE10 conference, and the NCAA.
    • Travel to the potential recruit's home, high school, and travel program competitions may be necessary.
    • Meet, greet, and accompany potential recruits and their family members while they are making their official visit to the Pleasantville campus.
    • Performs other such duties as may be assigned from time to time.

    Work Hours

    Part-time; hours vary based on game and practice schedules. Must be flexible. Early morning, late evening, weekends and some holiday periods. Travel to away competitions and recruiting events.

    • Bachelor's degree.
    • Previous playing and or coaching experience on the collegiate level.
    • Candidate must demonstrate potential to teach, lead, and counsel college student athletes.
    • CPR/AED and First Aid certified or ability to obtain.
    • Drivers License and certified to operate a vehicle on university business.
    • Knowledge of NCAA Division II and Conference rules and policies.
