Part time Bookkeeper — Urgently hiring in Scarborough!

Job Title: Part Time Bookkeeper
Pay: $22 - $26 per hour
Hours: 8:30am-12:30pm (Monday - Friday)
Start Date: ASAP

As a Bookkeeper, you'll be responsible for managing daily financial transactions and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. You’ll work closely with the finance team to deliver reliable results and support the company's financial health.

What You’ll Do
As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for:

• Recording daily financial transactions and overseeing the posting process
• Verifying that transactions are properly recorded in the correct ledgers
• Bringing books to the trial balance stage
• Performing partial checks of postings for accuracy
• Completing tax forms and maintaining financial records
• Processing accounts receivable and payable in a timely manner
• Reconciling accounts each month

What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• At least 2 years of fundamental bookkeeping experience
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and Excel
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
• Strong data entry skills and numerical aptitude
• Experience with spreadsheets and proprietary financial software
• Excellent English language skills and proficiency in MS Office
• Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Associate degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is preferred

Location & Schedule:
This position is on-site in Scarborough and offers weekday morning hours from 8:30am to 12:30pm. Future hours may increase after training.
