Primary Purpose of Position The Part Time Creative Arts Instructor teaches specialized techniques representative of their skills and talents in their respective media. Creative Arts courses are taught though the Continuing Education program and provide opportunities for learning personal enrichment content. We seek instructors to share their skills with community patrons. The pool position runs on a continuous open cycle and creates a pool of candidates for consideration to teach. Applicants are reviewed when they apply and hiring supervisors are notified of all qualified applicants. Applicants are notified if they have been selected to complete a hire process only if a job is available to be filled for class instruction. Applicants should be prepared to submit a course outline/plan including materials list and estimated cost breakdown for students. Only qualified, credentialed applicants will be considered.
Essential Job Duties To teach and engage students in subjects pertaining to the creative arts across various skill levels or at the skill level determined by the description of the class. To provide class description, structure and any supply needs to the Coordinator. To facilitate and maintain a positive learning experience for all students. To complete and return all required paperwork to comply with state audit requirements. To maintain safety and best practices in the classroom at all times.
