Job Summary
The Security & Safety Dispatcher monitors radio traffic, telephone calls and alarm systems on campus. Appropriate personnel are then dispatched to provide the services requested. This position assists with general office duties for the department, issues parking permits and performs other duties as needed.

- On-Call Staff regarding Campus maintenance issues

- Answer Telephone
- Issue parking permits
- Shifts reports, Dispatch Log, Calls for Service
- Other Duties as assigned
Minimum Qualification & Experience
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Demonstrate clear and concise written and communication skills.
- Ability to hear alarms and other warning devices.
- Ability to multi-task and remain calm under stressful circumstances.
- Ability to type a minimum of 25 words per minute.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of standard office equipment (ie. computer, copier) and computer programs (ie. Word, Excel & Outlook).
- Frequently views multiple video displays for extended periods of time to read documents and computer screens.
- Ability to move around (frequently sits, performs computer tasks, writes by hand, stands, walks and lift/carry/pull/push objects up to 25 pounds.

Approximate starting hourly rate:
18.00 - 19.00
