ABOUT THE POSITON
The teaching assignment may be at the Liberal Arts campus, the Trade, Tech and Community Learning campus or other college teaching locations. The assignment may be day, evening, weekend, online or off campus and is subject to change as needed. Part-time faculty positions are as needed positions and do not accrue rights to tenure. Part-time faculty positions offer flexible hours and the opportunity to assist a diverse group of adult students in achieving their educational goals. Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's in dance, physical education with a dance emphasis, or theater with dance emphasis, OR
Bachelor's in any of the above AND Master's in physical education, any life science, physiology, theater arts, kinesiology, humanities, performing arts or music OR
the equivalent
AND
Evidence of a sensitivity, understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Pilates Certification
BASI certification with all equipment (reformer, cadillac, chair, ladder, balls, bands, rings, foam rollers)
3-5 yrs pilates instructor experience
Recent community college, university or lower division Dance teaching/choreography experience.
Expertise in the field of Dance technique(s) and/or lecture course(s) to be taught.
