Our firm unites site staff with a centralized administrative team, each contributing to the firm's goals and client needs. Responsibilities:
Safely instruct an effective and creative group exercise class at the Health and Recreation Center
Provide quality customer service to all participants in class, regardless of fitness level, appearance, or otherwise
Communicate effectively with supervisor through phone, email, or in person
Enforce all program policies and procedures as it pertains to group exercise classes
Enforce all building policies and procedures and assist as needed during emergencies
Attend department staff meetings
Other duties as required
Qualifications:
Possess a current CPR/AED and first aid certification
Possess a nationally accredited group exercise certification such as ACE, AFAA, ACSM, FITTOUR, or a specialty certification such as Zumba, yoga, group cycling, pilates, etc.
Leadership and supervisory abilities
Entrepreneurial spirit and enthusiasm
Ability to work independently
Knowledge of standard practices in fitness, wellness, and recreation
Strong communication skills
Ability to thrive in an environment that values high expectations, accountability, and balanced lifestyles
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Office environment/fitness center environment
Moderate to loud noise
Evening or weekend work as required
Standing or walking for at least 50% of the work day
Bending, stooping
Lifting up to 50 lbs.
