Description
Summary
Under general supervision, the purpose of the position is to instruct in the theory, computer skills, and operation of machine tools associated with the gunsmithing industry. Employees in this classification perform instructional work. Position is responsible for teaching classes and instructing students; preparing lesson plans; preparing tests; evaluating work; and counseling and advising students. Perform related work as required.

Education Minimum: Diploma in Gunsmithing or Diploma Computer Integrated Machining Technology.
Education Preferred: Associate's degree in Gunsmithing or Computer Integrated Machining Technology.
Experience Minimum: 3-5 years in the Gunsmithing field.
Experience Preferred: Armorer certification from any reputable fire arm manufacture, with advanced knowledge in the areas of CAD/CAM, Manual and CNC machining.
