PT Housekeeping Houseperson

Job description:

The Chicago Marriott O'Hare is looking for a Part-Time Housekeeping Houseperson to join this awesome team! Previous hotel housekeeping experience and Marriott Hotels experience strongly preferred.

Overview:

The Housekeeping Houseperson is responsible for supporting the housekeeping team in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of guest rooms, public areas, hallways, linen closets, and back-of-house areas throughout the hotel. This role helps ensure guests receive exceptional service and a clean, comfortable environment in alignment with Marriott brand standards.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver linens, towels, and supplies to housekeeping closets and designated areas
• Remove trash, dirty linens, and used items from guest room corridors and housekeeping areas
• Clean and maintain public areas, including hallways, elevators, stairwells, lobbies, and employee areas
• Assist Room Attendants with stripping rooms, making beds, or moving furniture as needed
• Respond promptly to guest requests and housekeeping calls
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage rooms and housekeeping carts
• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and lost-and-found items according to hotel procedures
• Replenish guest and housekeeping supplies throughout the shift
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor machines, and carpet cleaners safely and properly
• Follow all hotel safety, sanitation, and security procedures
• Support team members and other departments as needed to ensure smooth hotel operations

Qualifications:

• Previous housekeeping or hotel experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Availability:

• Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, & holidays.
