General Function
Part Time Continuing Education Instructor positions are available in the Business and Public Services Technologies department. Qualified candidates must be proficient in front desk, guestroom attendant, housekeeping services, restaurant server, busser, and banquet service through education or experience.
Candidates should be knowledgeable of property management (PMS) and point of sale (POS) systems used to streamline and optimize hotel and food service functions. Most classes will be held in-person on campus; however, courses may include online and off-site teaching locations. Teaching also includes organizing and leading off-campus field trips and supervision of student internships with industry partners.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
The pay grade for this position is part-time. Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include off-shift hours, evening and weekend assignments may be required of any position. All positions are subject to budget approval.

A typical classroom or online class may be scheduled during day, evening, and weekend hours at various locations. Typical classroom or training environment; Vocal communications is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing written or computer data, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities; infrequently traveling between buildings on campus, to other campuses, or locally.
