The School District of Turtle Lake is seeking a candidate for a part-time (0.10 FTE or approximately 2 days/month) School Librarian beginning in the 2026-27 school year to manage our school library and foster a love of reading and learning among students. The ideal candidate will create a welcoming, inclusive environment, support student research and literacy development, and collaborate with teachers to enhance classroom learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote reading through programs, displays, and events
- Collaborate with teachers to support curriculum needs
- Oversee acquisition of new materials and weeding of outdated resources
- Support digital literacy and use of online research tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; degree in Library Science, Education, or related field preferred
- Previous experience working in a school or library setting is a plus
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Familiarity with library systems and educational technology
- Passion for literacy and working with children
