Department: PT
Serve a 25-bed critical access hospital treating skilled nursing patients with an average length of stay of 14 days. They will also float to outpatient care within the same facility, as it all falls under one hospital license.
We will accept new graduates, provided they have at least six months of experience.
# of patients treated per day: 7 treatment hours- ***COMBINATION OF IP/OP***
Productivity: 24 units in an 8 hour day
General Certification Requirements :BLS
Other Certs Required for all PT: Texas and national license
Common diagnosis / Types of patients: SNF- General, wounds, ortho, neuro, Debility
Acute Inpatient, Acute Rehab, Skilled, Outpatient? Critical Access: Op all dx, IP: Acute/Obs/Skilled/woundcare/Vacs- All dx
What areas are they required to cover? IP/OP
Experience or 'Must have' skills & common job duties: Wound care experience is preferred but not required. IP/OP experience
PT Manager/Supervisor Anne Lockhart- Supervisor, Jo Johnson- Director
Rehab Aides: We have one Tech at Grimes (Part-time)
Shifts & Scheduling: 0700-1600 or 0800 to 1700, no weekends
Weekend Requirement: none
Holiday Requirement: Rotate in with staff, may be needed, discuss in interview
Scrub Color/Dress Code maroon scrubs - not provided
Department specific orientation: Pathways learning will be assigned during onboarding, along with onsite education and shadowing for site/documentation orientation
Additional Notes: very supportive nursing and therapy staff, will see general PT cases; fractures, ortho injuries (sports), 10-15% neuro and a few amputations, neck pain (NO acutely ill patients at this campus)
Unit has 2 FT Staff PTs that will support the PT and take any cases they do have experience with
Any specialized cases are sent to St Joseph Regional (sister facility in Bryan, TX)
