The part time Professional Development Trainer is responsible for planning, implementing, and administering learning opportunities as a part of the Professional Development Center.   Provide leadership for a comprehensive and cohesive competency-based approach to mental and behavioral health education with curricula that supports lifelong learning.

 

Some responsibilities include:

  • Create and implement learning experiences based on customers’ identified needs.
  • Measure the effectiveness of program offers by collecting relevant data.
  • Develop and maintain training materials such as manuals, workbooks, and presentations.
  • Recommend new technologies for use in training programs based on industry trends and customer needs.
  • Design and deliver learning experiences that qualify for Continuing Education Credits (CEU) using multiple training methodologies based on sound instructional design principles to include traditional instructor-based classroom learning, virtual learning, e-learning courses, and other learning aids that promote an overall creative and interactive learning experience.  
  • Maintain CGRC’s ability to continue providing Continuing Education Credits (CEU) through all existing entities by completing necessary re-applications and making necessary licensing payments.
  • Create and manage training schedules for in person and virtual presentations.
  • Regularly assess and evaluate learning curriculum to ensure training is effective with meeting learning objectives set forth.
  • Identify and define present and future learning opportunities by conducting a cyclical needs analysis.  Recommend changes and modify existing and proposed learning programs as appropriate.
  • Prepare and distribute training aids such as instructional materials, handouts, and evaluations.
  • CGRC liaison for external training resource partners. 
  • Maintain learning related documentation and materials.
