Job Description Southwest Virginia Community College (SWCC) offers career-training programs in numerous technical industrial and medical fields at a reasonable cost, going so far as to even waive tuition for certain eligible students. Located in Richlands, Virginia, SWCC offers associates degrees in such fields as business education, general studies, liberal arts, and science. These degrees are primarily intended for students who wish to transfer to a four-year university. SWCC also has associates degrees that feature programs intended to lead directly to a career in fields such as Nursing, Radiography, and Administration of Justice.

Southwest Community College invites applications for part-time clinical instructors for the Registered Nursing Program in the Health Technologies Division. These openings are for clinical positions at the Cedar Bluff and Grundy locations. Special Assignments may be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

KSAs Required Qualifications

• BSN required • Official transcripts are required or an associate degree in nursing and actively enrolled in a baccalaureate program in nursing • Must hold a current unencumbered RN license or a multi-state license privilege to practice nursing in Virginia • Minimum of two years of direct client care experience as a licensed registered nurse • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to work effectively with populations representing diverse ages, backgrounds, life experiences, and abilities

• MSN preferred • Operation of a State Vehicle • No Supervises Employees • Required Travel: Travel may be required.
