Minimum Education/Training/Experience
Currently enrolled in a community college or undergraduate school with some college courses successfully completed. If a college degree has not been obtained, a minimum accumulative GPA of 2.8 is required. The applicant must have received an "A" in any subject they wish to tutor.
Preferred Education/Training/Experience
Already possess an Associate's Degree or a Bachelor's Degree in STEM, English Composition, English Literature or area of study related to content you wish to tutor. Experience tutoring or teaching at a community college or high school.
Minimum Knowledge & Skills
Math Tutors: Must be able to tutor through Pre - Calculus, preferably through Calculus. Must be able to tutor in Developmental Mathematics and possess some knowledge of Statistics and Quantitative Reasoning. Applicants will be expected to conduct a brief demonstration of two math problems during the interview, which will be selected by the interviewing committee.
Content Tutors: Must be proficient in the area in which they will tutor. Applicants may be asked to produce a portfolio, submit work samples or conduct a brief demonstration of knowledge during the interview.
Writing Tutors: Must have successfully completed English Composition I and English Composition II with an A or already possess a degree in English Literature or Composition. Must submit a writing sample if selected for an interview. Must conduct a mock writing tutorial session at the interview.

Job Duties
Provide content and skill-development tutoring to students individually or in small groups. Maintain a tutoring schedule as needed. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of tutoring sessions. Attend and complete required tutor training. Maintain strict confidentiality of all student information, material, and discussions shared in the tutoring relationship. Perform additional related job duties as required.
