Pay: $33.65 - $43.27 per hour

Salary: $70,000 – $90,000 annually
Schedule: Monday – Friday (No weekends)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Director of Rehabilitation to support the daily operations of a skilled nursing facility rehabilitation department. This role works closely with the Director of Rehabilitation to ensure high-quality patient care, staff coordination, and regulatory compliance.
This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with leadership experience looking to grow into a management role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing daily rehab department operations and staff performance
- Support supervision of therapists and rehab support staff
- Collaborate with the Director of Rehabilitation on patient care planning and program development
- Provide direct patient care and therapy services as needed
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and facility regulations
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, and evaluating rehab staff
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental goals
Qualifications
- Active PTA or COTA license in the state of Maryland
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of rehabilitation practices and regulatory standards
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment
- Must pass background check and drug screening
