About the Role:
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to plan, implement, and evaluate individualized physical therapy programs for patients. This includes conducting patient assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing therapy interventions to achieve patient goals. You will also maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Responsibilities:
Conduct patient assessments, including range of motion, strength, and functional abilities
Develop and implement individualized physical therapy programs, with the supervision of a licensed physical therapist
Provide therapy interventions, including exercises, stretches, and modalities, to achieve patient goals
Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress and treatment plans
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure high-quality care
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans
Participate in patient education and training to promote independence and self-care
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
An Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assistant or related field
Current certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
At least 0 years of experience in a physical therapy setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
