Duties

Help As a Public Affairs Specialist you will Plan develop and execute special events for new coin and medal programs and programs highlighting the Mints mission and history. Draft and edit talking points speeches scripts articles press releases event announcements displays and other types of multi-media presentations including PowerPoint consistent with bureau messages and priorities. Use a variety of methods and techniques to achieve communication goals such as personal appearances presentations exhibits newsletters brochures pamphlets social media posts etc. Be responsible for all Social Media content management working alongside other Mint divisions such as Sales and Marketing to develop cohesive consistent messaging.

Requirements

Help Conditions of employment All employees must wear face masks while on MINT property when required by CDC and Federal guidelines. All newly appointed employees to the competitive or excepted service are subject to a probationary or trial period. During this time your performance conduct and suitability for continued employment will be evaluated. Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 14 days of the closing date of this announcement. The experience may have been gained in either the public private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. For the GS-12 you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11grade level in the Federal service. In addition to the above requirements you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement if applicable For the GS-12 you must have been at the GS-11level for 52 weeks.
