The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Public Area Attendant to join the only double Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. We hire passionate and professional colleagues who genuinely delight our guests through curated and authentic experiences.
The Public Area Attendant will be responsible for maintaining clean and attractive main lobby, lobby restrooms, public areas and/or all assigned areas while providing attentive, courteous, efficient and personalized service to all guests.
Responsibilities:
Follow all The Post Oak Hotel’s Forbes 5 star processes and standards
Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments
Clean the following: public and employee restrooms, glass in public and employee areas; floor surfaces in public or employee space
Dust surfaces in assigned area
Empty trash containers, ashtrays, and ash urns in public areas into proper containers
Inspect condition of furniture for tears, rips, and stains and report damages. Identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms
Clean and maintain lights
Post caution signs to limit traffic when necessary
Qualifications:

High School Degree or equivalent preferred
1 year of experience preferred. Previous hotel experience, luxury or Forbes experience preferred
Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required.
Physical demands:
Move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 55 pounds without assistance and in excess of 55 pounds with assistance
Ability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related machinery over sloping and uneven surfaces
Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces
