Description
- Lead all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project completion.
- Manage multiple Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, subcontractors, and field personnel.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are achieved.
- Coordinate all site logistics, trade sequencing, and subcontractor activities.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality, compliance, and safety standards.
- Lead project meetings with owners, architects, engineers, and public agency representatives.
- Review drawings, specifications, and construction documents to ensure proper execution.
- Identify and resolve field issues, conflicts, and schedule impacts proactively.
- Ensure adherence to local building codes, public procurement requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain detailed project documentation, daily reports, and progress updates.
- Support project closeout activities, punch list completion, and owner turnover.
- Champion a culture of safety and accountability across all project sites.

Profile
A successful Public Construction Lead Superintendent should have:
- 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent within the commercial or public construction industry.
- Extensive experience leading ground-up public construction projects exceeding $20M in value.
- Proven success managing schools, municipal buildings, government facilities, healthcare, institutional, or other publicly funded projects.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
- Experience supervising large field teams and coordinating multiple trades simultaneously.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations, public-sector compliance requirements, and building codes.
- OSHA 30 Certification required.
- Proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Office, and construction management software.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Stable employment history with a demonstrated record of successfully delivering complex projects.
