Job Summary
Mohave County is seeking an experienced and compassionate Public Fiduciary to lead the Office of the Public Fiduciary and provide professional oversight of guardianships, conservatorships, Guardian Ad Litem appointments, and decedent estates.
About the position
This is a unique opportunity to serve some of the most vulnerable members of our community while leading a critical County function with significant legal, financial, and social responsibilities.
The Public Fiduciary exercises considerable independent judgment and works closely with the courts, attorneys, medical professionals, families, social service agencies, and community partners to protect the interests, dignity, assets, and well-being of vulnerable adults, minors, protected persons, and decedents.
The ideal candidate will bring a combination of professional fiduciary experience, sound financial judgment, strong communication skills, compassion, and the ability to make difficult decisions independently.
You should be comfortable working in a highly regulated environment where decisions can have significant legal, financial, and personal consequences for the individuals you serve.
Compensation
Hiring Range: Range 29 - Steps 1-4 ($ 95,804.80 - $104, 686.40)

This position is responsible for reviewing financial accountings and identifying discrepancies or missing documentation. Please describe your experience with financial records, account reconciliations, audits, or forensic review and provide an example of a significant discrepancy or concern you identified.

The Public Fiduciary works with courts, attorneys, family members, medical providers, social service agencies, and County staff, often when there are competing interests or high-conflict circumstances. Describe your approach to maintaining professionalism, protecting the clients best interests, and reaching appropriate decisions in these situations.
