Public Finance Compliance Consultant (BLX Group)

Location: Dallas

We specialize in serving public finance related entities by providing compliance consulting, and municipal advisory services. Financial services firm seeking Consultant to provide arbitrage rebate compliance and/or continuing disclosure services.  The applicant should have strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills.  Close attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and ability to work effectively with project team, client staff and tax attorneys are required in this goal-oriented position. This is a Remote or Hybrid position located base out of our Dallas (preferred) or Los Angeles office, but two days in office per week are required during training period.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform numerous financial analyses relating to tax exempt bonds, including present value, yield and cash flow analyses and asset valuation
  • Obtain required source materials, analyze bond and investment cash flows while incorporating different treatment options and methodologies to calculate the most beneficial outcome for the client
  • Prepare reports on findings using Word and Excel templates, interact with clients and other industry professionals to explain results and secure additional contracts
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Finance, Economics or related field preferred) or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-3 years of public finance experience a plus
  • Strong quantitative problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Outstanding project management skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize time-sensitive projects
  • Demonstrate unwavering integrity and instill confidence in others
  • Responsive and driven to provide outstanding client service 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive mindset with a high degree of intellectual curiosity
