  • Monitor online discussions and identify opportunities for engagement.

  • Develop written content for newsletters and update the Animal Care or Environmental Health website with current information, stories, and public facing resources.

Visual Media Production

  • Capture high quality photo and video content in animal shelters, during field operations, at adoption events, emergency responses, and community outreach activities.

  • Create graphics, images, and videos tailored to animal welfare education, safety campaigns, and public messaging.

  • Work collaboratively with County Communications for branding and approval processes.

Campaign Development

  • Support campaigns such as pet adoption promotions, disaster preparedness messaging for pet owners, animal safety reminders, and outreach initiatives.

  • Lead media related logistics for events, including preparing press materials, and capturing event footage.

Reporting and Analytics

  • Track performance of multimedia content to evaluate the reach and effectiveness of public health program messaging.

  • Provide regular analytic reports to inform future outreach strategies.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Work closely with Environmental Health and Animal Care staff, community education staff, and communications personnel.
