Job Description

Our client is seeking a motivated Public Health Program professional to support a Tobacco Use Prevention & Control Program. This role will assist with implementing evidence-based tobacco prevention initiatives focused on youth and young adults, supporting schools and community partners, developing educational materials, and coordinating trainings and outreach activities. Candidates with healthcare, public health, health education, or related experience are encouraged to apply, including junior-level professionals who meet the education requirements.

Job Responsibilities

Support the planning and implementation of tobacco prevention and health education programs for youth and young adults.
Assist schools and community partners with tobacco prevention and cessation initiatives.
Support youth engagement activities, trainings, workshops, conferences, and program meetings.
Develop, organize, and distribute health education and program materials.
Assist with preparing and delivering educational presentations and training sessions.
Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal teams, schools, healthcare organizations, community partners, and other stakeholders.
Support health education interventions and evidence-based public health initiatives.
Identify educational needs and assist with developing training programs, classes, and outreach activities.
Maintain program documentation and complete assigned tasks according to established priorities and deadlines.
Participate in quarterly meetings, professional development activities, and occasional travel for program-related site visits.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Health Education, Public Health, Health Science, Biology, Biological Sciences, Community Health, Health Promotion, or a related field.
Healthcare, public health, health education, community outreach, program coordination, or related experience preferred.
Junior candidates with relevant healthcare experience and the required degree are encouraged to apply.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work effectively with schools, healthcare professionals, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
Comfortable supporting presentations, trainings, workshops, and educational programs.
Basic Microsoft Office and computer skills.
Ability to work independently in a hybrid/remote environment.
Must be a Tennessee resident.
Must be available for first-day onboarding/laptop deployment in Nashville, TN and quarterly in-person meetings.
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM CST
Location: Hybrid – Nashville, TN
Contract Duration: 10/12/2026–06/30/2027, with potential annual renewal based on funding.
