About the Position
This is a time limited position. This position is in the Office of Immunizations and is responsible for handling all aspects of school compliance to include auditing immunization records provided to the K4-12 Mississippi schools under our jurisdiction. Coordinates with school records clerks to resolve questions or issues that arise with immunizations required for school enrollment. Maintains records and the reporting requirements of school compliance as required by state law and federal policy. Collects, prepares, and submits the annual school compliance report(s) to the CDC. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Ability to communicate well in person, in writing, via electronic means, etc. Excellent accountability, time-management, and organizational skills. Ability to utilize various computer software/programs including, but not limited to, our immunization information system, patient information software, Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, DocuSign, etc.

Paid Personal Leave and Sick Leave
Full-time employees receive paid time off for personal needs and for sick leave. Leave begins accruing after one month of employment and may be used as it is accrued. Employees earn approximately 18 days of personal leave annually and 12 days of sick leave annually.

In accordance with federal law, all employees serving in the armed forces or the military reserves are entitled to 15 days per year for military training.
