We are looking for a Research Project Manager to join our growing team! 

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are hiring a Research Project Manager to support a project focused on the post-market safety of medical devices in real-world settings. This role will provide the operational backbone of the study by keeping a multidisciplinary research team coordinated, on schedule, and in compliance with all client and contractual requirements. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented project management professional with training and experience in public health research. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively with professionals from different fields, including epidemiology, biostatistics, data science, clinical medicine, and biomedical engineering, among others. Meticulous attention to detail and follow through is required across all areas of responsibility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate all tasks and activities across the multi-disciplinary study team 
  • Maintain the project plan, schedule, and risk register  
  • Identify and escalate project risks and issues before they affect timelines or deliverables 
  • Create meeting agendas, facilitate meetings, and take complete and accurate minutes 
  • Record action items and decisions, and track tasks to completion 
  • Maintain a running log of open items and follow up proactively with owners 
  • Ensure all project deliverables, including subcontractor deliverables, meet contractual and quality requirements and are submitted on time 
  • Track deliverable status against the project schedule and flag risks to timely submission  
  • Support internal quality review and version control of deliverables prior to submission 
  • Support establishment of NDAs, teaming agreements, and subcontracts with partner organizations and subject-matter experts 
  • Track subcontractor performance against their Statement of Work (SOW) and escalate performance concerns 
  • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for subcontractors and SMEs on administrative and scheduling matters 
  • Maintain organized, current project files and documentation (SharePoint, shared drives, or equivalent) 
  • Ensure timely, professional responses to clients, collaborators, and partners 
  • Draft and edit written communications, status updates, and summaries for both technical and non-technical audiences

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree in public health or closely related field 
    • 3+ years of experience in research project management within a health care, life sciences, clinical research, or government organization 
    • Demonstrated experience managing deliverables, schedules, and multiple concurrent workstreams to deadline 
    • Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, or external partners, including tracking performance against scope 
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, professional materials for clients, technical experts, and leadership 
    • Strong organizational skills and close attention to detail, particularly around compliance and documentation 
    • Proficiency with standard project and document management tools (e.g., Microsoft Office/Teams/SharePoint, project trackers) 
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States 
    • Must be able and willing to obtain a Public Trust Clearance 

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Master's degree in public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, or closely related field 
    • Experience supporting federal government contracts 
    • Exposure to real-world data and medical device safety research 
    • PMP certification or equivalent formal project management training 
    • Familiarity with RWD sources and vendors 
    • Experience working directly with epidemiologists, biostatisticians, clinicians, or other health care SMEs on RWD projects

    LOCATION & TELEWORK
    This is a remote position following Eastern Standard Time (EST). Candidates residing in the DMV area preferred.
