Meta seeks an experienced professional to support the company's state public policy and government relations efforts. Candidates will be responsible for political engagement and issue advocacy with a strong understanding of technology policy.
This position will report to the Public Policy Director, South/Southeast United States. The position is based in DC, Austin, Texas or remote in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana area, but will entail travel to various states. Frequent travel is required.
Identify, monitor and analyze state legislative proposals that impact Meta Represent and communicate our policy positions to members of state legislatures and Administrations Monitor political environment and identify opportunities to advance policies that benefit the company, the state, and local communities Manage relationships with state policymakers Provide support to the Director, Public Policy, South/Southeast U.S. with respect to policy work and operational needs within their larger region as needed Develop strategies for engagement with chambers of commerce, industry associations, non-profits, and civil society groups to advance priorities in region Travel up to 50% of the time (primarily in the region)
