An Account Executive at V2 Communications is a skilled communicator and media driver who translates client goals into impactful results. AEs use their understanding of their clients' industries, businesses, and competitive landscapes to drive media relations efforts, develop strong pitch ideas, and deliver measurable results. This role requires resourcefulness, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while building strong relationships with clients and media.Key responsibilitiesServe as the primary media relations driver, from developing pitch concepts to securing high-value coverage in trade and business pressDraft and edit client-facing materials, including bylined articles, speaking abstracts, award submissions, social content, and press releasesContribute meaningfully to client calls and updates, providing concise updates and informed recommendationsCollaborate with team members to ensure that deliverables remain on track, to troubleshoot issues, and to optimize tactics for better resultsCoach AC and AAE staff on assigned accountsConduct industry, competitor, and media research to inform strategy and pitch developmentMaintain consistent quality across deliverables, meeting deadlines while upholding V2's high standards for accuracy and creativityOther duties as necessaryQualificationsBachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, English, or a related field2-3 years of PR experience, at least 1 of which should have been at an agency and preferably in B2B technologyProven ability to develop and execute media relations campaignsExcellent written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different formatsProficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows; familiarity with MuckRack a plusAbility to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing attention to detailCollaborative, solutions-focused approach and eagerness to take initiativeThis is a full-time hybrid role and will be expected to work from our Boston office at least twice per week, depending on client and team needs.
