Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree in IT related field or equivalent plus three years of experience in the development, maintenance and support of integrated web based and client/server applications; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Knowledge of Windows Server OS, VMs, SQL, F5 Load Balancer, PowerShell, LAN/WAN networks Office 365. Knowledge of OpenShift RedHat Platform, Nutanix Virtual Computing platforms is a plus. Must have exemplary troubleshooting skills and be able to perform accurately in high stress situations. Must be a self-starter with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, capable of conducting deep technical investigations into reported issues, identifying root causes, and implementing sustainable solutions to prevent future occurrences. Must be flexible, adaptable to change and be able to work with multiple work groups with differentiating personalities. Will be subject to sensitive information and must follow CJIS requirements. Public safety systems provide critical and life-saving services to citizens. Due to the sensitive nature of this position, experience working in a public safety-related environment is preferred. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required. This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justices "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent criminal background check. Must be a US citizen or have been a lawful resident of the US for the past ten consecutive years.

Duties

Public Safety Platform Administrators provide 24/7 operational support and maintenance of the public safety automated systems that support Emergency Communication Center, Police, Fire/EMS and Sheriff Departments. They are responsible for the overall health and integrity of the systems and serve as the primary point of contact for issues, upgrades, changes, enhancements, etc. Administrators perform application software installations, configuration changes, OS patching, certificate management, health monitoring, disaster recovery management, incident management, system audits, database management, system automation and system documentation. They also serve as project managers and team leaders implementing new technology or coordinating large system changes. They conduct meetings, provide consultation, reporting and guidance to public safety departments. Administrators serve on a 24/7 on-call rotation schedule. Performs other work as required.
