    The Publication Manager, Global Medical Affairs (Autoantibody) will lead multiple processes related to the dissemination of key strategic publications, providing key operational support, project management, and proactive planning. The individual will play an integral role in the successful execution of Global Publication Plans across multiple assets across the Autoantibody therapeutic area (which includes autoimmune neurology, rheumatology, hematology, and maternal-fetal immunology).

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist Scientific Communications Lead (SCL) with development, execution, and maintenance of the Global Strategic Publication Plan for Autoantibody, which includes indication-specific and cross-therapeutic area publication plans integrated over multiple functions and teams.
    • Coordinate, track, and summarize publication status and due dates from multiple vendors, internal publication team members, cross-functional team members (eg Market Access, Translational), and regional team members to assure accurate updates to publication plans.
    • Assist with planning, content development, and execution of Strategic Publication Team (SPT) meetings (~1-2 per month)
    • Liaise with multiple vendors, publication team members, cross-functional, and regional teams to develop/update Publication Plan decks, collate publication metrics, develop/update bibliographies, or develop/maintain other centralized resources for broad team usage.
    • Assist SCL with vendor management, projected timelines, tracking, metrics, and budget (planning and accruals)
    • Lead the internal dissemination of final scientific publication materials, publication plans, and congress submissions/disposition/presentation summaries. 
    • Provide direction and training when needed to cross-functional and regional partners on SOPs, work instructions, and systems required for execution of publications (eg, JPUBS, presentation templates, encores)
    • Attend scientific congresses and meet with external authors to discuss planning and logistics of publications
    • Organize and maintain repositories of final abstracts, posters, orals, and manuscripts for ease of reference for global and regional partners. Partner with publication vendors to assure documentation for abstracts, posters, and manuscripts.

    Requirements:

    Education:

    • BA/BS required

    Required:

    • A minimum of 5 years of combined relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry is required.
    • Excellent oral and written communication, presentation skills, and project management skills are required
    • Strong proficiency with MS office platforms
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to prioritize assignments 
    • Critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and team building skills
    • Up to 10% travel; some travel may be international
    • This position is located in Horsham, PA and follows a hybrid schedule of three days in the office and up to two days remote per week.

    Preferred:

    • Prior experience in a publication-focused Medical Affairs or Publications Manager role (or agency equivalent) for 2 or more years is strongly preferred
    • A demonstrated track record of success within Medical Affairs, clinical environment, and/or scientific functions is desired
    • Familiarity with external publication guidelines (GPP, ICMJE, AMA, etc), CMPP credentials, and/or industry-specific publication best practices/SOPs encouraged
