Publisher / Market PresidentLee Enterprises, a leading media company operating across 25 states, is seeking dynamic, growth-focused Publishers/Market Presidents to lead local markets. This role is responsible for driving the overall strategy and performance of local operations, including advertising sales, editorial direction, digital growth, community engagement, and financial results.
The ideal candidate is a proven leader with a track record of success in both traditional and digital media environments, and a strong passion for supporting and advancing local journalism.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic plans to grow revenue, audience, and market presenceOversee all aspects of local operations, including advertising, editorial, and digital platformsLead initiatives to accelerate digital transformation and expand digital advertising revenueDrive advertising sales performance and identify new revenue opportunitiesManage budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation to ensure profitabilityBuild and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, local businesses, and key stakeholdersServe as a visible and engaged leader representing the publication within the communityEnsure editorial integrity and alignment with the company's mission and values
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)3-5 years of leadership experience in publishing, media, or a related industryDemonstrated success in both print and digital media environmentsStrong understanding of digital advertising platforms and revenue models=Proven ability to build and sustain meaningful community relationshipsDeep appreciation for the role and impact of local journalismStrong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills
