PUDO Attendant Location: Onsite – Foster City, CA 94404 Compensation: $25 per hour Job Type: Contract Position Overview As a PUDO (Pick-Up/Drop-Off) Attendant, you will serve as the primary in-person point of contact for Zoox employee riders. In this highly visible, real-time role, you will ensure a seamless and positive rider experience by managing passenger flow, coordinating vehicle pick-ups, and providing support during service disruptions or emergencies. This role requires exceptional customer service skills, empathy, patience, and a proactive, relationship-focused approach. Key Responsibilities Foster a safety-first, inclusive, and open communication environment Provide a warm, professional, and welcoming experience for all riders Authenticate passengers using badge scanning systems Coordinate and hail Zoox vehicles between designated pick-up and drop-off locations Communicate in real time with cross-functional operations teams via Slack and other tools Assist with light crowd control to maintain safe and orderly boarding areas Provide clear updates to riders regarding service status, delays, or disruptions Support riders with next steps during service interruptions or emergency situations Adapt to flexible shifts, locations, and evolving operational needs Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service, retail, or another customer-facing role Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset Demonstrated commitment to delivering a positive and professional experience High attention to detail with the ability to follow established protocols accurately Proactive, resourceful, and solution-oriented approach Ability to remain calm and professional in dynamic or fast-paced environments Preferred Qualifications Experience working in high-pressure or fast-paced environments Familiarity with de-escalation techniques and conflict resolution Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and remain on your feet for extended periods, primarily outdoors Ability to lift and carry moderate loads as needed Work Environment Fully onsite role based in Foster City, CA Outdoor and high-visibility work setting Fast-paced, team-oriented, and safety-driven environment
