Pulmonary Sleep Medicine Physician with Sleep Lab Medical Directorship CaroMont Health Gastonia, NC CaroMont Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pulmonary Sleep Medicine Physician to join our expanding team and serve as Medical Director for our Sleep Medicine Program and Sleep Lab. This position offers a balanced mix of clinical practice and leadership within a progressive, physician-led health system located minutes from Charlotte. Position Overview Join a well-established group of 7 Pulmonologists and 7 Advanced Practice Providers Inpatient and outpatient pulmonary and sleep medicine practice 1:7 call with a schedule of 1 week inpatient / 3 weeks outpatient Advanced procedures: Navigational Bronchoscopy, EBUS, Zephyr Valve Placement, and Robotic-Assisted Bronchoscopy (coming soon) Hospital-attached Sleep Lab with strong APP support Collaborative environment with Cardiothoracic Surgery, Oncology, Cardiology, and Respiratory Therapy Opportunity to support Intensivist Program if desired Medical Directorship Responsibilities Provide clinical leadership and oversight for the Sleep Medicine Program and Sleep Lab Ensure regulatory compliance (AASM, CMS, Joint Commission) Guide testing protocols, quality initiatives, and performance improvement Participate in medical staff committees and interdisciplinary collaboration Support program development, accreditation readiness, and provider education Up to 12 administrative hours per month Qualifications Active NC medical license (or eligibility) ABMS Board Certification in Sleep Medicine Experience in medical leadership preferred Familiarity with AASM accreditation standards and quality improvement initiatives About CaroMont Health Independent, physician-led health system 476-bed flagship hospital plus a new state-of-the-art facility in Belmont (opened 2025) Ranked 1 in the Charlotte Region and 3 in North Carolina by Business North Carolina Named one of the nations Top 100 Hospitals by IDM Health Location Enjoy a four-season climate with opportunities for outdoor recreation.
